Stellantis is currently working on a brand new 2024 Fiat Panda Electric, available in Europe and operating since 2012 with no major redesign. The Panda is part of the category of city cars that are struggling to survive in Europe because of what car manufacturers believe is excessive regulation in the safety and emission aspects that are driving prices up substantially. The next generation Panda powertrains are expected to incorporate all-electric and combustion in the nameplate, which occupies the third and final position in Fiat’s B-Segment lineup.
2024 Fiat Panda Electric Redesign
In an Autocar report that was published on April 4th, 2022. Francois said that the next-gen Panda is being developed as well as other larger and smaller hatchbacks/crossovers that carry that Panda DNA. It is believed that the Centoventi idea was known as CC4 (City Car-4 ), where the 4 is an upcoming fourth-generation Panda). The concept was presented to the public. Fiat claimed it was pushing to develop an electric Panda because it could be required to pay huge fines from the regulator for failing to meet its future CO2 targets. The company created the Centoventi concept using identical technology to the 500 Electric.
In the Centoventi concept, the additional batteries were positioned beneath the car’s floor (this is done by the service network that is on the production vehicle, Fiat said), making removal and installation effortless. Another battery beneath the seats has also been featured in the concept Fiat electric car that the company claimed could be charged and disconnected at the convenience of the owner’s home. The modularity of the battery will call for the creation of a unique platform which we do not see as part of the strategy being developed at Stellantis which is why it’s likely that the design aspects will be the basis for the production car.

In April 2022 Stellantis announced will install a brand an electric vehicle-based platform in its Kragujevac factory in Serbia and will manufacture a yet-to-be-named alternative to Fiat 500L based on it in the mid-2024 timeframe. “This new platform dedicated to electric vehicles will perfectly match the products in the A, B, and C categories and will improve the efficient and clean urban mobility solutions of our brands,” Stellantis’ CEO Carlos Tavares said.
On the 23rd of September, 2022 L’Argus published a report that stated the Kragujevac factory will be the primary source for production of the next-generation Panda. The first official launch of Panda Electric will take place in 2024, at the end of the year according to the report. According to the report, Panda Electric will likely be the second electric vehicle manufactured by the Serbian production facility, and 500L is the sole product currently produced.
2024 Fiat Panda Electric Rumors
In May of 2023, a local newspaper Serbian Monitor reported that production of a brand new electric vehicle would start in the third quarter of 2024. In a press release by Federazione Impiegati Operai Metallurgici (Federation of Metal Workers and Employees), Stellantis internally confirmed on the 20th of September in 2022 that the third-generation Panda will be in production until 2026. This means that this Panda will be offered in both electric and gasoline models, allowing consumers to select the one that best meets their requirements. The gasoline-powered Pandas are ideal for those living in cities in which electric vehicles aren’t viable and pure electric models are ideal for those living in regions where charging stations are accessible.
