Audi will unveil the 2024 Audi Q8, a brand-new electric vehicle, later this year. The Q8 will replace the E-Tron in the future. The car will be given a new name, but the interior and exterior of the vehicle will also undergo a makeover. You will notice the biggest external changes on the front of the car. The front will be the part of the car that is most noticeable. The main bumper revamp includes a new configuration. The headlights have also been updated to a more modern design.
Its section will close when the power speed is greater than 50 km/h. On the rear of the vehicle, you can see the bumper has been redesigned. The taillights also have undergone some minor changes. The car has the same shape. The 21-inch Audi Q8 alloy wheels have a more modern, fresh look.
2024 Audi Q8 Redesign
The cockpit will not undergo as many changes as the exterior. Nevertheless, there will be some. The dashboard’s central console will have two screens, just like the previous design. The primary screen is 11.5 inches in size while the secondary screen is 8.3 inches. The third display will be an electronic digital instrument that has modernized visuals.
The basic features include heated leather seats, side mirrors with memory, and many other modern gadgets. Audi also offers three optional packages. Cowhide is also available as an option. Multicolor ambient lighting and heated rear seats are also notable upgrades. Black Optics is available to those who want a sleeker look. This vehicle has a more aggressive look thanks to the black window trim, grille, mirrors, and side face.
The new Audi Q8 2024, like the current E-Tron version, will be powered by twin electric engines. The motors are capable of delivering 350 horsepower and 400 pounds-feet of torque in the base model and 415 horses and 500 pounds-feet of torque in the S-Line. The new Audi Q8 SUV uses the same Quattro all-wheel-drive system, which is well-known as the E-Tron prototype.
Battery changes will be the biggest. The size of the battery remains unchanged (from 95 to 110 kWh), despikWhthe increased capacity. The Audi Q8 in 2024 will be able to drive 370 to iles with the European WLTP Standard thanks to all that we have described. A higher turbocharged engine and improved aerodynamics will allow the Q8 to accelerate from zero to sixty in just 4.3 seconds. The towing capacity remains at 4000 pounds.
Exterior
The Q8 E-Tron 2024 will come in two body styles, a Sportback with a coupe-like profile and an SUV. The Q8 E-Tron retains its familiar form, but it gets some updates to the front. The new faux grille has a three-dimensional design and is surrounded by an air-flow-optimizing self-sealing seal. Audi has also updated its four-ring logo to a two-dimensional, flat version. The SUV rides on either 19-inch or 22-inch wheels with wheel spoilers that are updated on the underbody to improve airflow. This helps reduce the SUV’s drag and increase efficiency.
The high-tech Matrix-LED headlights are available only in Europe, and the camera-based side mirrors are not offered here. Neither technology has been approved for use by U.S. regulators.
Battery & Range
The EPA has yet to rate the SUV. The larger Q8 E-Tron battery, with a capacity of 114 kWh, will boost DC fast charging from 150 kilowatts to 170. Audi claims that the SUV can charge from 10% up to 80% within 31 minutes using fast charging. It will take 11.5 hours to do so at 11 kW, or 6 hours at 22 kW when charging at home at Level 2.
The brand’s range estimates are based on Europe WLTP standards. These tend to be higher ratings than EPA. The European models have a range of up to 362 miles for the SUV standard and 373 miles for the Sportback. S models can go up to 307 for the SUV, and 319 for the Sportback. Audi will reveal the U.S.-specific range numbers closer to the arrival of the SUV, but a spokesperson for the company said that the company is aiming for a number “that begins with a 3”. The E-Tron S has a top EPA-rated distance of 212 miles. These numbers are lower than those of many E-Tron competitors: the BMW iX has an EPA-rated range of up to 324, the Ford Mustang Mach-E is EPA-rated up to 314, and the Tesla Model Y can go up to 330.
Improved Steering and Ride Quality
Audi says that the new Q8 E-Tron, in addition to improved aerodynamics and a larger battery, will also bring notable performance improvements. The improved rear motor of the SUV allows for more torque when it is needed or better efficiency when that torque is not required. Brand says that the air suspension system has been fine-tuned to balance comfort and sportiness. A faster steering ratio also offers a better road feel and more responsive steering. According to a recent Cars.com review, the Model Y was able to outperform the E-Tron in the steering department.
Audi claims that the European-based Q8 E-Tron can produce up to 402 horsepower, while the SQ8 is capable of producing up to 496 horsepower in boost mode. The standard E-Tron has a 0-60-mph sprint time of 5.5 secs and a 355 hp rating. However, with the boost mode, it can reach a 402 hp rating.
Interior
The Q8 E-Tron interior uses more sustainable materials, along with new trim options and color options. The vehicle’s carpeting and trim, as well as the seat belt buckle cover, are made from recycled materials. The decorative inlay of the SUV is made from recycled bottles. Synthetic-leather upholstery also uses a microfiber that’s composed of recycled textiles, plastics, and fibers.
The E-Tron has a superior driver-assist system and safety technology when compared with the Model Y. This is thanks to its 360-degree camera, available front camera, and blind spot monitor. The Q8 E-Tron will also receive a remote parking assist feature in 2024. This allows drivers to park their cars in tight spots using the myAudi mobile app.
2024 Audi Q8 Price & Release Date
Audi has yet to confirm the launch date of its new Audi Q8 2024, but we expect it to go on sale during the second half of 2024. The prices will be slightly higher than last year’s model. The model will cost $75,000 and the S-Line version $90,000.
Models like the BMW iX and Tesla Model Y are fiercely competitive on the market. Other models include the Cadillac Lyriq Mercedes-Benz EQS and Genesis GV60. We believe that the new Audis will be a hit with buyers, thanks to their improved autonomy and fresh design.
