For many years, the Corolla has been the most popular car in the world. You won’t find a better car than the Corolla that is well-balanced, has all the features you need, and costs a fraction of the price. This generation of Corolla is considered the best. Experts agree. We trust that Japanese engineers won’t rush to make any changes after the facelift. The current generation is expected to remain in production for at most another year. The 2024 Toyota Corolla will also be in production.
You can still rely on the same layout as in 2019. There are three powertrain options and two body styles. While some may be more efficient than others, they are all quite capable. This compact car is well-built and provides decent athleticism. There is very little to be unhappy about.
The Toyota Corolla 2024 is expected to be available for purchase in the second quarter of 2023. There are no major changes.
2024 Toyota Corolla Design
The design of the 2024 Toyota Corolla will be identical to the current model. It has had the same layout for nearly four years. The styling has been updated with styling elements from the newly-introduced Corolla GR. You can choose whether you want a sedan or hatchback body style.
The car is attractive but has great mechanics. The lightweight suspension and excellent handling make the Corolla a joy to drive. The Corolla is a very comfortable vehicle with a low center of gravity that allows for excellent handling. This is a rare opportunity in this segment.
Interior
The interior design remains the same. Corolla was impressed by the interior’s quality. The cabin is softened and made from more luxurious materials. It is very pleasing to look at the simple dashboard design. The dashboard design is simple and elegant while offering many tech features such as an intuitive infotainment program.
How much space you have will depend on the body style you choose. A smaller but still attractive hatchback is an option. It isn’t quite as spacious as the larger sedan. This is a better option than the sedan which offers plenty of legroom.
The hatchback can hold almost twice the cargo volume of the sedan. The hatchback holds nearly 18 cubic feet, while the sedan can store just 13 cubic feet.
Features
We don’t believe that the 2024 Toyota Corolla will include this feature. The standard equipment should remain the same for the base model. Current equipment on the base model includes keyless entry, climate control, keyless accessibility, navigation, “Hey Toyota”, virtual assistance, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and HD Radio. You also have four USB ports and Bluetooth. Upgrades are possible to add wireless charging and a premium sound system.
Safety features include a rearview camera, lane-departure alert, front collision warning, and pedestrian/cyclist detection. The current model also has adaptive cruise control, adaptive emergency brake, traffic sign recognition, and automatic high beams. There are many upgrades that you can choose from, including blind-spot monitoring or rear cross-traffic alert.
Engine
The engine lineup won’t change. The 2.0-liter inline-4 engine that produces about 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet will remain on the base models. This is enough for commuters every day. The vehicle is also paired with a CVT for excellent fuel economy. The city can achieve 32 mpg, while the highway gets 41 mpg.
You can also buy the 2024 Toyota Corolla in a hybrid version powered by a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine. It produces around 121 horsepower. The engine achieves remarkable fuel economy with a combined output of around 121 horsepower and a mileage rate of 52 mpg in urban areas and 51 mpg on the highway.
Another option is the GR Corolla. This vehicle is completely different and comes with extensive suspension and chassis upgrades. It also features a turbo-three-cylinder engine producing 300 horsepower. A 6-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive are also available on the GR Corolla.
Updated Trim Levels
Toyota has removed the base L trim in order to make room for the Corolla LE, the new base car for 2023. The new model features unique features such as the next-generation 8-inch touchscreen from Toyota, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, smart keys, and 16-inch steel wheels. It also features high-tech features such as voice command, an intelligent assistant, and dual Bluetooth connectivity.
The Corolla SE/XSE get a new “sport” mode and red interior accents. They also have bucket-type front seats, a seven inch digital instrument cluster (XSE only), as well as an 800-watt JBL premium sound system that includes nine speakers and a subwoofer. The Corolla LE comes standard with cloth seats, while the SE and XSE come with posh SofTex upholstery in Black/Red and Light Gray.
Safety
Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is the new package for the 2023 Toyota Corolla sedan. It offers more advanced driving assistance with improved versions of safety tech. It features a backup camera, pre-collision warning, lane departure warning (with steering assistance), dynamic radar cruise controller, lane tracking assist, and automatic high beams. Proactive driving, deceleration, and obstacle anticipation assist are new for 2023.
