The transition to electric power within General Motors’ GMC division began by introducing Hummer EV. Hummer EV and the next destination is the highest-end Sierra EV Denali.
2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Changes

Range and Towing
Similar to both Ford and Chevrolet off-board models, power is accessible via nine outlets with 120V voltage located in the bed, cabin, and frunk. An outlet with a 240V voltage within the bed can deliver a capacity of 10.2 kW. (GMC also has an optional power source that connects to the charge port, allowing more outlets.) The Sierra can also be used for bidirectional charging via its 19.2 power onboard charger which allows for a complete home backup.
Based on GM head of engineering Nichole Kraatz, if a homeowner switches off everything but the essentials and appliances, the Sierra will provide electricity for three weeks. With its bigger capacity battery Lightning is expected to be able to provide a range of approximately 400 miles and 200 miles of towing. GMC claims the time from zero to sixty is 4.5 seconds.
Its Sierra EV Denali will roll out on standard alloy 24 inches wheels and a 35-inch diameter tire. Like the Silverado RST, the GMC will come with four-wheel steering however, unlike the Chevrolet Denali, it will also get an option to walk crabs that are found in the Hummer E-V. Interior
