2024 Fisker Ocean Force E is taking on an aggressive look that aims to attract those who love off-roading with its latest ‘Force E’ package. The new model was revealed at the initial Fisker Product Vision Day on the 3rd of August 2023, this Fisker Ocean Force E is developed and engineered to help ensure that off-roading experiences are more sustainable. While it opens up a thrilling new dimension for the Ocean, however, we believe that it will be a bit less popular when compared to standard versions or other accessories.
2024 Fisker Ocean Force E Redesign
The 2024 Fisker Ocean Force E is believed to be the tiniest and most sustainable off-road vehicle with all-wheel drive available. Current Ocean customers can also make the upgrade Ocean Force E, as the company will permit them to purchase an optional package and then make an official change.
Features & Specifications
The 2024 Fisker Ocean Force E flaunts the structural forward and back skid plates red tow hooks and extra-wide Fenders sporting a unique graphic the 20” wheel encased in huge 33” wheels and a protective underbody cover. The standard Ocean comes with 6.5 feet of ground clearance if it is configured by 20” wheels, or 7.1 inches of ground clearance if it is configured with wheels of 22 inches, Fisker says the Force E package boosts the ground clearance, however it hasn’t disclosed the exact amount. The special dampers come as a part of the package. Additionally, Fisker will sell a roof basket for sale separately.
Apart from the mechanical changes mentioned as well as the aforementioned mechanical changes, apart from the mechanical modifications, Ocean Force E will have modified software for the vehicle. Fisker will outfit its Ocean E with a special off-road mode to boost the performance of the powertrain. The off-road mode will not be available immediately upon the beginning, as Fisker has stated that it intends to roll out the feature through the OTA update. The sustainability of the next Fisker vehicles during this event Nadya Arnaout who is the head of Materials and Interior Design, Fisker said Fisker is exploring the boundaries and exploring new and lightweight materials. Arnaout spoke of algae that Fisker uses in the interior components of Ocean Force E.
Suspension
“The results are an SUV with a good design and fit that is solid when in use. The seats are comfy and supportive and even though there’s lots of plastic inside it’s still an upscale spot to be in due to the high-end detail like the special striping and design-inspired motifs on the dashboard and the seat. The Foxconn-designed 17.1-inch rotated screen which rotates from portrait to landscape is cool it’s crisp as well as easy to comprehend even when you’re facing the sun’s reflection. There’s an array of physical buttons beneath it for radio and climate controls. Seats in the rear have adequate head and legroom The trunk is big and spacious, with the floor being flat.
Behind the steering wheel behind wheel, the Ocean offers the powerful off-the-line speed that you would expect from an electric vehicle. The Ocean’s small center of gravity allows it to feel secure in the roadway, while it feels less than it does. Steel-sprung suspensions don’t provide the same cushioned ride as air suspensions do however, the ride is comfortable. When it is at its most aggressive settings Regenerative braking is sufficient for single-pedal driving, and seamlessly integrates the the friction regen brakes. The weight is also a good addition to the steering, however, we did not find it to be particularly user-friendly. Be aware, however, that it’s a family vehicle it’s not a sports car.
Let’s talk about two of the Ocean’s most exciting features. The first one is California mode. It allows you to remove all windows at the push of a button however, we’re not only talking about the side windows. California Mode also reduces smaller quarter windows between the D- and C-pillars and back hatch windows and it also opens the huge sunroof. It’s rad. Another is the vehicle’s solar roof. If the conditions are ideal, Fisker says, it’ll give you approximately 1,500 miles every year. Even if it doesn’t achieve exactly that, it’s cool and makes a great conversation piece.
There are some ergonomic issues to be aware of like the door handle on the inside being unintuitively high. Also, the taco tray table that folds up and can be accessed from the central console — isn’t able to unfold to the side of the driver if you’ve got cups of water inside the cupholder. There’s no glove compartment as passengers get an individual taco tray that has storage that moves to drawers under the seat. Due to the SUV’s raked profile, rearward visibility isn’t always the greatest, but there’s an electronic rearview mirror that you can depend on. Also, Fisker has made the error of asking passengers to control the vents using the touchscreen, rather than the tried and tested method of that you can move the vent using your hands. This is a problem on the Rivian R1T and is irritating here as well. Like other companies that have tried this, like Porsche it’s an answer to a problem nobody was experiencing.
In our initial test, we noticed that the pedal’s travel was way too long and this is still the case. There’s a significant amount of dead area at the top of the stroke before the brakes are applied and this makes decelerating in high-speed driving difficult to anticipate. We also encountered some electronic issues that Fisker claims could be specific to our particular vehicle. The issue may be widespread. We think the issue is in the process of being solved. One of them involved our test vehicle that would not move even after shifting into Drive in addition to the electronic brake for parking that could intermittently automatically disconnect, something it’s programmed to perform when the drive option is chosen. Also, the California mode button stopped functioning for about 20 minutes, and then all the windows slid away in a single, uncontrolled drop without pressing the button.”
