Rumors of a refreshed 2024 Ford Bronco Sport with a new hybrid powertrain have been circulating, but nothing has been confirmed. A relatively new compact SUV, the Bronco Sport was introduced in 2021. So a refresh would not be a big deal.
The exterior design of the new Bronco Sport is still unknown. The SUV’s current exterior design is rugged and features a boxy design with durable body cladding and short overhangs. The front of the SUV has a square grille and integrated headlights into its central trim. Bronco Sport’s robust front bumper shows off its tough design. The Bronco Sport’s front bumper is blacked out, and the rear end has square taillights as well as a large rear bumper. The 2024 Bronco Sport could get a slight refresh, with new front and rear bumpers as well as lighting elements. However, we expect the original boxy design to remain.
The interior of the Bronco Sport is simple. It has neat design elements and lots of space. The dashboard is a tiered design with a touchscreen integrated into the dash, and physical controls under the screen. The controls for the infotainment and HVAC systems are separated by a large storage bin located at the bottom of the console. The Bronco Sport cabin is rugged thanks to its square air vents, sturdy materials, and chunky styling. Although we don’t know the exact design of the cabin, a redesign of the center console might be on the cards.
The current Bronco Sport has an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six speakers, and voice recognition. These features will continue to be standard in 2024, we expect. The features include navigation, a 6.5-inch digital instrument cluster, and a Bang & Olufsen sound system. There will also be a wireless charging pad, a satellite broadcaster, and an HD Radio.
A new hybrid powertrain is big news for 2024. Ford has not yet confirmed any details, but the Bronco Sport could get the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor powertrain in their Maverick. Turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engines and turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines will also be available. The non-hybrid engine’s power range will be between 181 horsepower and 250 hp. The Standard will be front-wheel drive, and all-wheel drives will be possible.
The new Bronco Sport is well-equipped with standard safety measures. This compact SUV includes forward collision warning, automatic high beam assist, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assistance. Safety features include adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition. These features will be available on the 2024 Bronco Sports.

Redesign
We already know that the Ford Bronco was redesigned for the 2021 model year after being in production for 25 years. It has also been updated for the 2023 model years in 2022. So there is no expectation that this Ford Bronco will get a new design for the 2024 Model Year. We believe that the 2024 Bronco’s interior will be updated with minor changes, such as some safety and additional features.
Colors
The new Ford Bronco comes in a wider range of exterior colors. We have listed some of them below. It will vary depending on Bronco’s trims. Ask your dealer about the exterior standard and optional colors.
- Velocity blue metallic
- Area 51
- Shadow Black
- Cactus Gray
- Race Red
- Carbonized Gray Metallic
- Oxford White
- Eruption Green Metallic
- Iconic Silver Metallic
Interior
We don’t think the 2024 Ford Bronco will bring more changes to interior design. We expect to see a familiar layout that still offers many great features. With all the tech features, the dashboard looks very attractive. The materials used are excellent and the build quality is very high.
The 2024 Bronco will be available in two versions, a two-door, and a four-door. The smaller version is shorter and has better off-road performance. The four-door model, on the other hand, is far more spacious and can accommodate five adults comfortably. This model also has a very respectable cargo volume with 38 cubic feet behind its second row and 83 cubic yards total with the soft top.
Features
The update will bring new features to the standard and existing equipment. You shouldn’t expect much, considering the model is already very good in this area. The base models come with a touch screen of 8 inches, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HD Radio, satellite radio, a six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, and four USB ports. There is also an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, analog speedometer, push-button, remote start, remote keyless entry, push-button start, and remote stop.
While we are assuming that some options will be included in the standard equipment, most should not change. The current model can be upgraded with navigation, a 12-inch touch screen, Bluetooth charging, two additional USB ports, and a 10-speaker audio system.
Engine
We expect no changes under the hood so we offer three familiar options. Base models will continue to be offered a 2.3-liter turbo four that produces around 300 horsepower. It is also available with an automatic transmission and a manual 7-speed gearbox. There is also a 2.7-liter V6 that produces 330 horsepower and provides significantly better performance. The Bronco Raptor is finally available, with its 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6. It produces around 400 horsepower.
The base engine gets around 20 mpg city-wide and 21 mpg highway. The V6 returns about 19 mpg city-wide and 20 mpg on the highway. The Raptor averages 16 mpg in the city, and 17 mpg highway.
2024 Ford Bronco Price and Release Date
The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport could be available in the summer of 2023. The price of a refresh for the compact SUV would be higher than the current model, which starts at $308,810 plus destination. The compact Bronco Sport can compete against SUVs such as the Kia Sportage and Mazda CX-50, Honda CR-Vs, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota RAV4s, and Jeep Cherokee.
It will retail for around $30.000 for a two-door model and $34.000 for a four-door model. Jeep Wrangler is the main competitor. However, the 4Runner is also in line for a complete redesign.
