Peugeot has been very secretive regarding specs, but they made a few announcements at the E-Lion launch in January. Particularly, the automaker has confirmed that the E-3008 will be the first car to launch using the STLA Medium platform and it will come with three electric engines which can provide up to 700km (435 miles) of range.
Stellantis didn’t provide specifics when it was announced however Stellantis recently unveiled that its STLA Medium platform will be equipped with front- or two-motor drive on all wheels. The outputs will range from 215 horsepower (160 kW/ 218 PS) to 382 horsepower (285 kW/ 387 PS).
Stellantis also unveiled the plans for “Standard” and “Performance” battery packs. The first will offer more than 300 miles (500 km) of range on the WLTP cycle and the Performance version will expand the distance to over 435 miles (700 kilometers) and confirm it is for E-3008.
Although the focus is on the electric version however, there will be the hybrid 3008 which has 99 horsepower (74 kW/100 PS) or 134 horsepower (100 kW/136 PS) PureTech petrol engine. It will be linked to a dual-clutch six-speed transmission that is linked with a 28 hp (21 kW/29 PS) electronic motor. Design & Interior
On February 26th, 2023 L’argus announced that the new Peugeot 3008 will sport an SUV-style body, a coupe that is not a traditional SUV body like the first as well as second-gen versions. The roofline’s steep slope and low ride height will benefit the electric version known as the E-3008 since it’ll require every efficiency improvement that could be possible to cut down on energy use and drive further.
Based on the sources L’Automobile announced on the 19th of June 19th, 2021 that Peugeot will not use its current style of light design on the new 3008. The DRLs with vertical LEDs from the second-gen model, which Peugeot states “lend the vehicle a saber-toothed look,” were a direct inspiration for the hook-shaped DRLs on the updated second-gen 3008.
On the 26th of January 2023, the teaser for the upcoming Peugeot E-EV lineup (pictured above) revealed a brand new three-claw design to be found on the DRLs that are LEDs in Peugeot E-3008. Peugeot E-3008. On the inside, all we know, as of the date of a L’Argus report from 17 January 2023, is that the next generation 3008, which is the first-ever E-3008 with an all-new i-Cockpit (a distinctive combination of a small steering wheel as well as higher instrument cluster as well as a huge touchscreen information system).
We have found that the premium materials in the cabin of the 3008 could be built upon for the EV. However, disadvantages such as the small rear windshield and the absence of knobs that can be used to control the air conditioner as well as the consistent design across the cabin are areas that need to be addressed when creating the E-3008. Feeling different areas inside the cabin you are impressed by the quality of materials that is present in the 3008 and we’re hoping for the same kind of surprise in the E-3008 which will have a smaller gap between the panels all around.
