The next-generation Nissan Maxima will have a sportier, more distinct look than the previous models. Some of these cars have a very conservative style. The 2024 Maxima will be influenced by the Nissan V-Motion design. This means that the current design will be more futuristic and sporty.
At certain angles, the Maxima can be either a four-door coupe (or liftback (hatchback),) similar to a Kia Stinger and Fastback Peugeot 508 This will likely occur after 2024 or 2025.
2024 Nissan Maxima Review
The Nissan Maxima sedan is a basic brand that’s designed to be used as a vehicle for taxi companies and rental agencies. The car had several good versions over the years. Among them was the SR which was supposed to be a sporty version of the mediocre midsize front-wheel drive sedan.
Maxima discontinued the manual option in 2008. Since then, Maxima’s powerful 3.5-liter V-6 engine has been forced to use a crippled CVT. The 2024 Nissan Maxima is a promising proposition. Initial expectations were that the eighth-generation Maxima would cease production in two years. This confidence was further strengthened by the declining sales of large sedans due to rising demand for SUVs and crossovers. The data however shows that not all car owners use SUVs/crossovers.
42 percent of Ford Focus owners and Chevrolet Cruze owners didn’t upgrade to high-riding cars. They instead choose similar cars from other manufacturers, such as the Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. Maxima has not been available in Europe for almost two decades. But, this could change. Specific models are becoming obsolete due to the increasing importance of compact sedans.
This allows for the production of larger models. The Toyota Camry was therefore reintroduced to Europe in 2018 after a long hiatus. The 2024 Nissan Maxima could be a global model. Maxima is also currently undergoing a mid-cycle refresh in 2019, so it can be expected that it will continue to be available for longer periods. Hopefully not with the GT-R or 370Z. A fully electric Nissan Maxima version can be produced by Nissan Maxima. This may not be possible until 2025 when the model undergoes a complete redesign.
Maxima will still use a 3.5-liter VQ35DE V-6 motor, which could produce little power. It produces 300 horsepower and 261 pounds-feet (354 Nm). Maxima’s biggest weakness is the gearbox. It is the CVT. It’s great for fuel efficiency, but it doesn’t have the same performance as a sports car.
Although Nissan has an automatic transmission option, the 2023 model will still have a CVT gearbox. Nissan offers a heavy-duty, toroidal CVT that has greater torque but is only available on pickup trucks and SUVs. As the Maxima was derived directly from Mercedes (a nine-speed automatic for 2024), we expect it to be available with the right manual or auto option.
Maxima has space for five in a comfortable cabin with simple controls and soft-touch materials. The front-seat legroom, which is the most in this class, is excellent. Headroom is average. The rear seats are not as spacious as those of larger competitors like the now-discontinued Toyota Avalon.
Standard features include power-adjustable front and driver seats, leather-clad steering wheel and shift buttons as well as two-zone automatic climate control, automatic dimming rearview and side mirrors, and start and stop buttons.
Maxima starts with a weakness when it comes to cargo hauling. Larger cubbies can be used for everyday items and the rear seat backrests can be folded to store larger items.
Connectivity and Infotainment
Maxima’s 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment systems are standard in the Maxima range and we find them easy to use. You can use the infotainment system as a touchscreen. There’s also an additional button on the middle stack that allows for quick access to standard adjustments such as climate control and audio volume.
It also offers remote access and vehicle monitoring. Teenage drivers might appreciate speed warnings and limits. The system also contacts emergency services automatically when airbags are inflated after an accident. Maxima’s location can be tracked in case of theft. This includes remote start and door lock access.
It’s also a high-tech powerhouse that’s full of excitement. At the touch of a button, you can transform from a luxury ride to a canyon sculptor. The advanced driver assistance technology makes it easier to feel confident when driving and allows you to connect seamlessly with a compatible smartphone. Maxima was the overall best model in the JD Power 2021 Initiative Quality Study. Maxima also won the Top Safety Pick Plus 2021 award from IIHS.
The standard heated rear seat is available in Platinum trim. Maxima’s range includes SV, SR, and Platinum values. The standard features include leather seats, navigation, and Nissan’s driver assistance suite, the Nissan Safety Shield 360.
The exterior is sharply designed and surrounds a spacious cabin, which encourages mainstream ideas very similar to those of luxury. Maxima is for those who enjoy driving and are looking for fun. However, expectations should not be too high. The Maxima comes with a 300-hp V-6 engine and front-wheel drive, unlike other large sedans such as the Chrysler 300 or Dodge Charger.
The convenience of modern technology–including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a host of standard driver assistance–comes and counts. Maxima is an excellent choice for anti-SUV drivers, who require space for passengers and want the luxury of a large vehicle.
2024 Nissan Maxima Price & Release Date
The base model is priced at $37,240. It’s more expensive than the Toyota Camry XSE V6 top-of-the-line, which starts at $35,720. However, it offers the same power, brand equity, and a better overall ownership experience. The Honda Accord Touring 2.0T is the most expensive model at $37,400. It’s a great car for drivers, although it has fewer than 50 horsepower. The Maxima SR, a mid-range Maxima SR, pushed the asking prices up to $42,400. Platinum was at $42,550.
