Today, we’re celebrating a new EV in the market in 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is now in production for certain trims, beginning at the RS and moving on to the 2LT before the other trims are released. The announcement was made in the summer of 2018, Chevy previously estimated pricing would begin at $47,595 in the 2LT entry model and $51,995 on beginning RS models (which remains on the website of the company and, oddly) however it’s not the case anymore. Here’s the latest pricing for 2024’s Chevy Blazer EV.
2024 Chevy Blazer EV Redesign
This 2024 model features a 17.7-inch touchscreen for infotainment, that is paired with an 11-inch driver display, heated steering column, mirrors on the side and front seats Evotex seating and adaptive cruise control surround-vision, and wireless charging for phones.
The RS AWD upgrade to glossy black trim on the exterior and an exclusive fascia with 21-inch wheels, flat-bottomed steering wheel front seats that are ventilated, and a head-up display the rear camera mirror self-sealing tire, and rain-sensing heated wipers. It also has animated lightwork on the exterior as well as heated seats in the rear. In addition, the RS RWD model adds a Bose audio system.
Range, Charging, and Battery Life
While Chevy hasn’t revealed much information regarding the size of batteries that will be offered for the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV, we know that the RS model will have the greatest EPA estimated distance of the entire lineup at 325 miles. The basic 1LT model is expected to offer 247 miles on each charge.
While those with the 2LT and SS models boast a range of 293 and 290 miles according to. The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV is equipped to charge using the DC fast charger. Chevrolet claims it will charge up to the power of 190 kW and can add around the 78-mile range within less than 10 minutes.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPGe
Ratings for the fuel economy of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV haven’t yet been published and will likely not be until the time of the SUV’s launch in 2023, which is expected to be sometime in the summer. If we have the chance to try the Blazer EV ourselves, we’ll test the vehicle on our highway at 75 mph fuel efficiency way and then update the article with the results of our tests and observations from the driving distance. For more information on the Blazer EV’s efficiency in fuel check out the website of the EPA.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
It’s a shame that the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is strictly a two-row model, and from images, we can see a sleek interior design motif that matches the aggressive exterior style of the SUV. The air vents are round and affixed to the dashboard and, on RS or SS versions Chevrolet has chosen two-tone red and black colors. However, we’re hoping for a more traditional appearance to be offered for those who do not like the flash.
While there’s ample space for legs in both rows, we noticed that the headroom was not as spacious when we got to experience the pre-production SS model. When we have the opportunity to test the Blazer EV’s capacity to carry cargo with our test of a carry-on suitcase and update this post with our findings.
Infotainment and Connectivity
All models have the large 17.7-inch infotainment screen that is tilted slightly towards the driver and is framed to the left and bottom by the physical controls of controlling the temperature, as well as the volume knob. An additional 11.0-inch display provides the driver gauges as well as other details about driving. Chevrolet hasn’t revealed anything about the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV’s informational system We’re guessing it’s the latest version from GM, which is an Android Auto-based system. We’re expecting many of the standard connectivity options like Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto as well as an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
Chevrolet offers a range of driver assist features as standard features, such as an auto emergency braking system, automatic lane-keeping aid, and a parking assist feature. Chevrolet’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system is also available. For more details about the results of the crash test for the Blazer EV check out the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites.
