Interior & Exterior
Ford Transit E-Courier has a modern, distinctive look. The van is distinguished by its high-tech, moody LED headlights with a central light bar. The grille has been closed to improve aerodynamic efficiency. Higher-spec models feature a lozenge pattern. Ford Transit E-Courier has a bold front that gives it a confident appearance. The firm wants to show off its American roots with future designs, and this will make the Ford Transit E-Courier 2024 stand out.
Ford will likely offer attractive metallic colors in addition to the standard white and gray. Metallic Fantastic Red and Bursting Green are two of the available colors. The rear of the vehicle is covered with clear plastic, which conceals structural LED lights. The new Ford Transit E-Courier features a dashboard similar to that of the Ford Puma, which is the top-selling vehicle. Ford has created a “squircle” steering wheel that it claims improves visibility and legroom for the driver. A column-mounted gear shifter, and an electronic parking brake, also improve space.
Ford Transit E-Custom features two digital displays that create a “digiboard” instrument panel. The Ford Transit E-Custom has a 12.0-inch touchscreen center and a 12.0-inch cluster with the latest Ford SYNC4 technology. Apple CarPlay is standard and Android Auto can be added as an option. Connected Navigation, which Ford claims improves productivity and reduces the driver’s workload, is also available.
Ford Transit E-Custom comes with a special ‘Office Pack,’ which features a flat, foldaway workspace and LED cabin lighting to make it easier for you to use a laptop or fill out paperwork, as well as eat a burger at lunchtime. A built-in modem allows for remote diagnostics and over-the-air software updates without the need to visit a dealership. The new Ford Transit E-Custom comes with a full set of driver assistance features that are designed to keep you safe. Other features include adaptive cruise control, which includes lane-centering and stop-and-move, as well as a blind spot alert system.
The vehicle has a 1220mm wide space between the wheel arches and can now carry two Euro Pallets for the first. The total cargo volume is 26% larger than before, at 2.9 m3. A clever bulkhead loading feature enables long items like planks that are more than 2.6 meters long to be transported. Ford Transit E-Custom can tow up to 750kg and has a maximum payload of 700kg.
The new Ford E-Transit Custom comes with a range of lock packs that are already designed by TVL and can be fitted at the factory. They will also include secondary hook locks to prevent ‘peel-and-steal’ attacks. Ford Pro has a Fleet Start Inhibit function, which allows fleet managers to remotely disable each new Ford E-Transit Custom in their fleet. This prevents theft or unauthorized usage outside of work hours.
Powertrain
The new Ford E-Transit Custom 2024 will be powered by a pure-electric drivetrain, and run alongside the petrol and diesel versions 2023 Ford Transit Custom. Ford Transit Custom EV’s electric motor delivers 136PS. This is more than any turbo petrol model. Its automatic transmission allows for ‘one pedal’ driving. Regenerative braking is used in this way to slow down the car without the driver having to press the brake pedal. Ford Transit E-Custom has a top speed of 90mph.
The Ford Transit E-Custom’s battery and range have yet to be revealed. To be competitive, the Ford Transit E-Custom will almost certainly offer a range of over 200 miles. Ford claims that a 100kW DC rapid charger will be available, allowing 54 miles to be added within 10 minutes. It can be charged from 10 to 80% in under 35 minutes.
Ford anticipates that customers will charge primarily at home overnight. Ford Pro Charging aims to charge overnight in less than six hours using an 11kW AC device. The infotainment can schedule charging to take advantage of cheaper overnight electricity. BlueOval Charge Network will be included as a complimentary service for the new Ford Transit E-Custom. The network will have more than 500,000 public charging stations by the time the new Ford Transit E-Custom is launched in 2025.
