The Jeep Wrangler will be available as a carryover model for the 2024 model year. The SUV is available in two versions: the Wrangler Unlimited and the Wrangler Unlimited. It will continue to be a rugged option for the many crossovers on the market.
2024 Jeep Wrangler Review
Jeep has not yet released 2024 Wrangler specifications or photos, but an early report suggests that the Wrangler diesel may be discontinued. The 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 was introduced in the 2020 Wrangler. It offered an enormous advantage in torque over the standard V6.
The Wrangler diesel was initially released with 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. The V6 produced 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft. A 2L 4-cylinder engine made 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. An optional plug-in, called the Wrangler4xe, was added in 2021.
It may not surprise that the Wrangler diesel has been dropped by RAM, who will also decrease the 1500 EcoDiesel in 2023. However, the 2024 Wrangler diesel changes are not yet official. An online forum post claims that there will be a Rubicon Diesel final edition.
The Fleet production data does not yet indicate a 2024 Wrangler release. However, the 2023 Wrangler production began in the summer of 2022. This could suggest that the 2024 Wrangler will be available at the same time next year.
The Jeep Wrangler is known for its ability to navigate all types of terrain and off-road prowess. The all-electric Wrangler powertrain will soon be available. Check out what we know about the specs and price of the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV.
2024 Jeep Wrangler Release Date & Price
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV may be available in early 2024 at Jeep dealers throughout the United States as well as on international markets.
Jeep has not released the pricing information for the 2024 Wrangler EV. Car and Driver estimate that the starting price for the 2024 Wrangler Electric Vehicle will be $50,000. The site also provided an estimate of the cost breakdown for possible Wrangler Electric Vehicle trims.
- Sport: $50,000
- Freedom: $55,000
- Sahara: $60,000
- Rubicon: $65,000
- Magneto: $70,000
Engine
Jeep’s 2021 unveiling of the Magneto was a concept version of the Wrangler EV. The Magneto features a unique electric powertrain. It has a 285-hp motor and a 6-speed manual transmission. There are also four batteries. The Wrangler EV will most likely have a traditional electric powertrain with one battery pack, no transmission, and one or two electric motors. The Wrangler EV’s driving range is unknown.
New Design
The 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV interior and exterior will likely be very similar to current-generation Wranglers. While the Magneto concept has a two-door body, we are not yet sure if there will be a Wrangler EV with a four-door option. The Wrangler EV will have a removable roof, doors, and windows for open-air driving.
The Wrangler Electric Vehicle will be available in 2024. However, there will be an all-electric Jeep model that will be available before then. Jeep recently released teaser images for a yet-to-be-named Jeep EV. It is expected to launch in early 2023. Jeep also offers electrified Jeep models with the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrids.
Stellaris, which is the parent company to Jeep, also has significant electrification plans for its entire automotive brand portfolio. In the next few years, many more electric vehicles will be produced by the automaker. Stellantis will release the Ram ProMaster van in 2023 and the much-anticipated Ram 1500 electric pickup truck in 2024. Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, claims that the Ram 1500EV will outperform other electric trucks in driving range, charging, and towing.
Interior
We don’t think the company could make any major changes inside the 2024 Jeep Wrangler. With the familiar dashboard design and features, the cabin layout will likely remain unchanged. There are many options for new colors and materials, along with some new tech gadgets.
The new model will be available in two versions, each with two or four doors, just like the current one. Two-door models will have a shorter wheelbase which means that there will be less space for passengers in the second row and less cargo. These aspects are quite acceptable for a four-door model. The second row can accommodate adults comfortably. There are 31.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats, and 72.4 cubic yards with the seats folded. This is quite good for this segment.
Features
The update will also include interesting new features in terms of available equipment and standards. We believe that the majority of the features will remain the same in this update as the current model.
The current model has basic equipment, including a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and air conditioning. Push-button start, manual roll-up doors and locks, push-button starting, and push-button start. There are many upgrades available, including automatic climate control, keyless access, power windows, and door locks.
The current model is equipped with a rearview cam. There are many options for upgrades such as blind-spot monitoring and forward collision warning, rear parking sensors, forward-facing cameras, blind-spot monitor, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, high beams, and automatic emergency braking.
