The anticipation surrounding 2024’s Ford Mustang is growing as Ford prepares to start shipping the muscle car over the next few days. Guidehouse Insights’ eMobility Analyst Sam Abuelsamid said to Detroit News that the stick-shift Mustang is so popular because of the fear that it could be the final muscle car that was powered by gas. The analyst said, “The most hard-core fans, they’re going to go out and grab one of these because you don’t know when it’s going to end.”
2024 Ford Mustang V8 Rumors
Although this could be the final internal combustion engine (ICE) Ford Mustang, it’s not known when the electric version will come out. Ford has stated the fact that it “remains to be seen” whether this is the final ICE-powered Mustang, even though competitor Dodge is preparing to charge the Charger in 2024.
Ford is already offering an electric Mustang kind of vehicle with its Mustang Mach-E crossover. However, it is normal that when the future generation Mustang is nearing the point of no return an electric version will likely come along.
